Open Joint Stock Company Gazprom, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration, production, transportation, storage and sale of gas in the Russian Federation and internationally. It also involved in the production of crude oil and gas condensate; processing of oil, gas condensate and other hydrocarbons, and sale of refined products; and generation and sale of electric and heat energy. The company operates the Unified Gas Supply System that consists of 161.7 thousand kilometers of gas trunklines and branches; 215 pipeline compressor stations; 6 gas and gas condensate treatment facilities; and 25 underground gas storage facilities. It also operates gas and hydro power generating facilities with an installed capacity of 37 gigawatts, as well as a network of gas and compressed natural gas filling stations. The company was founded in 1993 and is based in Moscow, the Russian Federation.
